Website for the King George Hospital Vizag to computerize various departments and to enhance the quality of the hospital management system. King George Hospital is one of the oldest Government hospitals, in India and proudly taken to the health needs of North coastal Andhra adjacent Godavari Districts.

The software is easier to implement, easier to use, improves the productivity of the administrative staff, simplifies patient record keeping, streamlines billing, improves cash flow, has extraordinary expansion capabilities. The Product provides all hospital details to Superintendent of the Hospital, departmental details to their Head of  the Department, patient details to doctors and services offered by the hospital to people.

This website is also very helpful to all citizens in A.P as well as neighbor states like Orissa and Chattisgarh.

Introduction:

King George Hospital is one of the oldest Government hospitals, in India and proudly taken to the health needs of North coastal Andhra adjacent Godavari Districts. The existing King George Hospital had its origin in a Civil Hospital in Vizagapatnam in 1845 at the present Anatomy / Physiology block of Andhra medial College.

The Government of Andhra Pradesh has proposed to construct a Super specialty block in King George Hospital, Visakhapatnam with a view to accommodate all the Super specialty departments in one building and extend Medicare to the patients duly providing all the facilities and state of the art equipment for various investigations, procedures and treatment. 

This hospital is providing nearly 27 various types of specialties such as Plastic surgery, Thoracic Surgery, Endocrinology, Cardiology, and Pediatric Medical etc. Totally 1037 beds are providing to patients under this specialties. Various types of facilities provided by KGH are 1. One Blood bank with 1 Medical Officer, 4 Staff Nurses, and 1 Technician. 2. The casualty department is providing 24 hours service by attending Medical and Surgical emergencies. 3. There are 10 beds in ICCU, and 22 beds in AMC. 4. 11 Operation theatres  (including emergency theatre) are available. 5. KGH is getting power from A.P.TRANSCO through 2 Nos.250 KV Transformer 2 Nos. 100 KVA Transformer. 6. It has two generators of 75 KVA capacity.

In the manual system it is very typical task to the hospital superintendent and other departmental heads of the hospital in monitoring the activities of all departments. The developing system will give all hospital details to the superintendent and to all departmental heads and to public also.

Existing System:

King George Hospital Vizag has no website till now. So that I am implementing a website for KGH

Proposed System:

This proposed Hospital Management System’s main objective is is to achieve the following goals:

1. Significant improvement and streamlining of hospital operations.

2. Effective solutions to hospitals that plan to reduce the cost of administrative and clinical transactions.

3. Enables the entire hospital and doctors to better serve their patients.

4. Improved response to demands of patient care because it automates the process of collecting, collating and retrieving patient information.

5. Enabling an automated and intelligent flow of patient information.

6. Better quality of care, procedures and service to Patients.
