Abstract:
Evaluating knowledge of a specific individual is a key activity in many areas in day to day life. In a typical academic institution after completion of course the Users needs to undergo a written test. In a typical organization
Where employees will be recruited, the aspirants need to undergo an written test in order to qualify for further rounds. In order to conduct these written test s question papers need to be prepared by HR Manager or Recruiter.
The current system is useful for a typical academic institution where the Users can undergo online written test by registering him/her self. The administrator will be able to manage question bank, requests and manage Recruiter. Recruiter will be able to manage questions and requests. This system will given instant results to the user regarding his/her performance in the written test.
Existing system:
Ø In existing system, the recruiter/mentor has to frame the questionnaire manually and evaluate the performance.
Ø It is a time consuming process for both the job seeker/student as well as recruiter/mentor.
Ø Instant evaluation is not possible while using the manual system.
SOLUTION OF THESE PROBLEMS
• The proposed application is designed in order to make the job easy for both recruiter/mentor or job seeker/student.
• Questionnaire can be prepared by recruiter using the web interface.
• Evaluation will be done online, as the job seeker/ student can give it from any where.
• Instant results will be declared as the answers also will be available in the system.
PURPOSE OF THE SYSTEM
To design and develop an online solution for conducting online evaluation system in a typical organization. It should be used by any organization which is recruiting people or any academic institution for evaluating student’s performance. It should help the recruiter/mentor to evaluate the knowledge of the job seeker/student on specific area, while overcoming the limitations in the manual system.
Features
§ Perform a security check on the users of the system, using a login ID and password.
§ The users are basically of two categories. First one is the candidate taking on the Test and the second the administrator responsible for the maintenance of the system.
§ Unauthorized users must be prevented from entering into the system since the system maintenance is of high importance and that the questions available must be held very confidential. And unauthorized user access may hinder the effective functioning of the System.
§ Provide for a menu driven environment to navigate through the system by way of having corresponding links to the appropriate pages.
§ Provide for easy and user friendly screens in taking on the test and also during the data entry of master details. Besides, the system is expected to provide messages and prompts wherever relevant.
§ Automatic generation of the question papers on a random basis, based on field of expertise, which cannot be pre-determined till the question paper is actually sought by the system onto the screen.
§ Provides automatic expiry of the exam /test on the basis of the duration time allotted for the respective exam / test.
§ Provides automatic system evaluation, serving in immediate generation of Performance report.
§ Provide for query modules that will facilitate accessing of any relevant information from the system, in an effective, user-friendly way, requiring minimum key presses from the user. The system is expected to handle many complex queries.
§ Also searching facility is incorporated which helps in faster search of the required data by the user in order to make required manipulations of the data wherever necessary.
§Facility of Direct data manipulation only by the authorized user of the system. This feature is exclusively incorporated in this system, which gives the authorized the most flexible way of handling the data manipulation
